Daring to Dream Boldly Award

Girls Inc. of Metropolitan Dallas is proud to announce that Ilona Maher will be honored at the 2026 Bold Dreams Benefit with the Daring to Dream Boldly Award.

Maher is an American rugby union star, two-time Olympian and bronze medalist with Team USA at the 2024 Paris Olympics, where she helped secure the United States’ first Olympic rugby medal. She has appeared in Sports Illustrated, competed as a finalist on Dancing with the Stars, and continues to inspire millions with her authentic voice both on and off the field.

Beyond her accomplishments on the field, Maher has built a powerful platform rooted in body positivity, confidence, and authenticity, challenging narrow beauty standards and championing women who succeed in spaces not traditionally designed for them.
