We’re proud to celebrate Girls Inc. Dallas participant Jada Akinseye, a senior at Reedy High School, as a recipient of the National Lucile Miller Wright Scholarship, one of the most prestigious honors awarded across the Girls Inc. network.

This national scholarship recognizes exceptional Girls Inc. participants who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership, and a deep commitment to their communities. Established to support girls in pursuing higher education, the award provides significant financial support for college and celebrates young women who truly embody what it means to be strong, smart, and bold.

Jada’s passion for medicine and health care is already taking shape through hands-on experiences, including internships at Parker University and Annie’s Place, as well as conducting student research with UT Southwestern Medical Center. Her drive to learn is matched by her leadership as she is an active member of HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America) and leads campus-wide volunteer initiatives, creating positive change both in and out of the classroom.

Looking ahead, Jada plans to attend college to study medicine and ultimately open her own dermatology practice, bringing compassionate, expert care to her future patients. Jada represents the very best of Girls Inc., and this national recognition is just the beginning. We can’t wait to see all she accomplishes next!
