Bosch Community Fund Grant to Support Girls Inc. of Metropolitan Dallas
Girls Inc. of Metropolitan Dallas has received a grant from the Bosch Community Fund to support Project Accelerate, a program dedicated to supporting girls aged 18-24 to successfully transition to college and careers through non-clinical case management, internships, career placement, and mentorship. The program has two key components:
- 1. Eureka: A five-year, cohort-based STEM initiative that empowers 8th-12th grade girls to explore and pursue STEM education and careers. Participants engage in hands-on STEM activities, sports, physical fitness, and professional and personal development, all within a college campus setting.
- 2. Operation EmpowHER: This component equips 11th and 12th-grade girls with the skills and resources to navigate post-secondary paths while building social and cultural capital. Through college and career preparation, collaboration, and access to networks, mentors, and sponsors, participants are empowered to succeed.
The Bosch Community Fund is making a significant impact on the Dallas area by awarding five grants that will benefit students and teachers. By partnering with local organizations, these grants support programs that enhance science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) education, career readiness, and valuable hands-on learning experiences.
